About Michigan Medical Marijuana
Dispensaries in Michigan have had a rough road. Starting in 2008, the history has been one of openings and closings. This has not been due to lack of business, instead caused by changing laws aimed to eradicate them. Michigan lawmakers could be close to approving a solution to the state’s medical marihuana (MMJ) problems. Recently the state senate advanced two bills to the floor, meaning legislators could vote on them as early as this fall. One bill would legalize medical marihuana dispensaries, while the other would approve edible products. If the bills pass, they would help rejuvenate the Great State of Michigan’s hard fought Medical Marihuana (MMJ) industry.
Michigan is home to some of the proudest people in this country. Kid Rock, Madonna, Ted Nugent, and Eminem are modern examples of these Motor City diehards, not to mention having football legends like Megatron, Calvin Johnson or Barry Sanders. Detroit is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the largest city on the United States-Canada border. Due to jobs in the automotive field leaving the shores along with other industries, Detroit was hit hard. Now there is a rebirth taking place from within. Companies like Quicken Loans have been rebuilding this proud city one block at a time. The motor city is now becoming a tech motor city. Detroit often overshadows the real beauty of this great state. True beauty and scenery along with great people and incredible green are found all over the rest of the state in such places as Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and the entire Upper Peninsula.
