Buckeye Relief’s plans for a medical marijuana dispensary in Kent took a step toward becoming a reality this week as the Kent Planning Commission voted to approve conditional zoning and a site plan for the dispensary.
Buckeye Relief is a level I medical marijuana cultivator and processor based in Eastlake. While its products can be found in dispensaries across the state, Caroline Henry, Buckeye Relief’s government affairs director, said the company is interesting in opening its own dispensary at 1181 W. Main St.
This would be the first medical marijuana dispensary in Portage County.
The site, located on West Main Street at the corner of North Francis Street, is owned by Klaben Property Management, and includes a building with a shipping dock to the rear.
