Law enforcement across Michigan are ramping up their efforts to patrol medical marijuana in the state.
An almost $2 million grant is helping them foot the bill for much of the costs.
Agencies from more than 50 counties received a combined $1.8 million medical marijuana enforcement grant.
That money will go towards paying for overtime, house raids, vehicles, stun guns, tactical gear and other items.
It comes as Michigan prepares to license dispensaries and marijuana businesses in communities under a new regulatory system.
