Native Sun retail dispensary petitions Hudson for hours extension – Community Advocate

HUDSON – Cannabis retail store Native Sun is petitioning to expand its hours after beginning operations in Hudson. 

Native Sun Wellness opened a retail operation at 37 Coolidge Street late last year as one of its two Massachusetts locations. The store is about one mile east of I-495 and about two miles west of downtown Hudson. It operates from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

It is now requesting a two hour evening extension, which would allow it to remain open until 10 p.m. 

“We usually have to turn away customers after eight o’clock,” said Retail Director Caitlyn Woodward-Samson. “We would love to be treated and considered as a standard retailer.”

Woodward-Samson said the additional hours would generate more revenue for Hudson. 

“It sounds great,” said Hudson Economic Development Commission Chair Bill Sullivan at a recent meeting. “You have a big parking lot. It’s well lit. I’ve been in a couple times. I know the product. I don’t see any downsides.”

Sullivan agreed with Woodward-Samson’s point that an expansion of hours would increase
