Salem Dispensary Turns Shop Into Haunted Forrest For Halloween | WBZ NewsRadio 1030 – KFI AM 640

SALEM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio)— There are few cities that love the spooky season more than Salem, and one local dispensary is trying to get into the Halloween spirit.

Cannabis retailer Insa turned its store into a haunted forest for the month of October to help add to Salem’s community spirit, complete with spooky trees and a giant purple spider on the roof. Store Manager Mark Rialdi told WBZ’s Carl Stevens (@carlwbz) they hope to teach people about the history of cannabis with their ‘haunted harvest’ set up.

“Back hundreds of years ago there were healers using natural remedies, plants, and herbs to heal people but unfortunately it got them labeled as witches,” Riadli said. “That’s some of the same things that exist in that stigma of cannabis today.”

In addition to their Halloween decorrelations, Insa is selling special October themed products, including pumpkin pie flavored chocolate bars and caramel apple gummies. The store opened in 2019 and did not get to celebrate Halloween last year because of the pandemic, but they’re excited for the opportunity to do it this year.
